Bella Swan

As the protagonist of Spy Games, Bella emerged as a powerful, strong willed CEO of Dyco Tech. Working her way up the company ladder, she was promoted to the position two years prior to the story starting.

Born in Forks, Washington, Bella moved to New York City at the tender age of seven with her mother and father. The families new found happiness was short lived and Charlie soon moved back to Forks, leaving Bella and Renee alone in the ginormous city.

Bella describes her background to Edward in Chapter 7.

""I'm originally from Forks, Washington," I started, looking up to his amused expression. "It's this tiny little town, about an hour outside Seattle."

Edward nodded and ran his hands through his hair in the water as I continued. "I remember my parents being really happy, and then one day, they just weren't anymore. They thought moving to another town would help them reconnect, ya know, get away from the all the bullshit. We came here and my mom was happy for a little while, but my dad wasn't, and that put a beating on her new found sunshine. He left after a year, went back to Forks." I looked to the ground, my eyes growing distant as I recalled the memory. "The thing is, my father told her to stop him, told her that he didn't want to leave, but that he would because he knew she didn't love him anymore. He was right. She let him go, and she was heart broken for a little while, but eventually moved on.'

'I went to college, then to grad school. I started working for Jenks six years ago, and now I'm here. I go to work, I come home and I go to sleep. Occasionally, I go to the spa or enjoy a nightclub, but not that often.'"

On her first day at the new school, Bella met Alice and formed a lifelong friendship. It wasn't long until Bella was introduced to Jake, Alice's half brother, and Rose, Alice's adopted sister. These three people are the closest things Bella has to siblings, and they make that relationship very well known. (See Chapter 11)

Not long after Bella took the CEO position at Dyco Tech, Cullen Inc sprang up from practically no where, instantly becoming her number one competition. We're talking the way Coca-Cola is to Pepsi. They sell the same exact products, but their images are very, very different. Dyco Tech is the model for success that Cullen Inc is so desperately trying to attain. Dyco Tech is what Cullen Inc wants to be when it grows up.

At the start of Spy Games, Bella is confronted with her biggest challenge to date . . . looking past the pretty face of her newest competition that just moved in across the street. How can one expect to work professionally with such an interesting creature staring in on her all day?
