Edward and Bella Cullen

So, I don't think I really need to add in any explanation for these characters. Since Dancing With The Devil was a continuation of The Twilight Saga, I tried to keep their personalities as similar as possible. However, what was not explained was how their relationship with Ness evolved as she grew older.

At the beginning of the story, we find Bella and Ness on their way to college at Anchorage University. The mother/daughter relationship that these two share starts out pretty typical. Bella is Ness' best friend, and has become more of a confidant over the ten years between Breaking Dawn and DWTD. Ness finds a secret hiding spot in Bella's head. It is somewhere she can hide her private moments without the rest of the family finding out. This trend continues throughout the story as things get a little crazier, and a little more hectic. By the end of the story, Bella and Ness' relationship is closer than ever. They find out that their souls are also connected and they have been mother and daughter before. No matter what Bella did previously, they were always destined to end up together again.

Edward takes on that slightly overprotective father role that we all knew he would once Ness came of age. Of course, he still harbors some illwill toward Jake, and it is only amplified by the fact that Jake is now dating his daughter. At the beginning, Edward feels as though Jake is simply "not one of them." Jake lives in their house purely for his own benefit. As the events of the story unfold, Edward finds himself between a rock and a hard place. Ness has fallen head over heels for the boy. Not only that, but Jake, Ness, Bella and Edward go through an experience that will bond them to each other forever. By the end, Edward gives in and realizes that there is no other person in the world who could look after and take care of Ness the way Jake does. He later says that he would be "proud to give Ness away to Jake someday."

Not that I really need to do this, but I'll add some pictures just to look at anyway:
