And felt that he looked perfect for the part. This person is an unknown model, and to tell you the truth, I can not find his picture online again. I had this saved on my computer. I know nothing about the model or who he is, but in my mind, he is Wendell, the soul seeker.
Wendell does not make an appearance until he feels it is necessary. He can not afford to reveal his presence to the Volturi. If they knew he was still around, Aro would be on his trail in a heart beat. Wendell immediately emerged as a source for comic relief. He is witty, but reserved with his commentary. He thinks all of his intentions through before acting upon them and he is never impulsive. As the leader of the Fraternity, it is his responsibility to search the world for the return of The Three.
Wendell also emerged as the honest story teller. He knew the real tale of what happened between Robert, Lilith and Cain, AND he knew it from Lilith's perspective. It is reasonable to assume that he was probably Lilith's best friend. He describes times when Lilith would come to his chambers and spend the entire evening bullshiting about things she had seen. When he tells Ness, Jake and Bella about the downfall, the pain is evident in his eyes. He misses Lilith, and he is one of the only Fraternity members to stay neutral about who or what lead up to her death. He has his suspicions about Robert, but also knows that Robert loved Lilith deeply, so he finds himself conflicted.
Of all the characters I created for this story, Wendell is my favorite. His whimsical attitude brings light to the darkest bits of DWTD
Niobe
Niobe is Robert's constant. She was created around 30 BC and is originally from the Arian countries of Europe (Modern day Germanic area.) When I originally thought her up, I imagined this woman:
which any good vampire enthusiast knows is the girl from Blade. Her attitude and her feistiness made her stand out in my mind, and therefore carry over into the story. Niobe was created by Robert as a companion and a distraction from Lilith. Niobe was chosen as a child and was changed at age 22.
She only makes a brief appearance in the story, but is intrical in Robert's life. Although the two don't get along, their aggression and equal passion for life makes them perfect companions. It is understandable why she has a problem with Ness, and she wants nothing more than to run away with Robert and live a peaceful eternity with him. However, he has other plans.
It is ultimately Niobe who suffers the most in the end, and the story is not a happy one for her. Sorry love, it's a tough role, but somebodies got to do it.
Natasha
Natasha is Thomas' constant. She was created around the same time as Niobe but is from modern day Iraq. It is only right that Thomas return to his home land to claim a bride. Natasha and Thomas gave it a good run and they tried a union for quite sometime. But a common theme in DWTD is that the eye wanders after so long. Thomas and Natasha still have great affection for one another, but Natasha has moved on with someone she created for herself. Thomas is fine with that because he never saw himself as one to tie down with a single person. Thomas is more of a free spirit, and he moves on quickly.
I hadn't picked out a person to play Natasha, but I was watching the Covenant when I thought her up. So, I chose Jessica Lucas who just really looks the part.
Theron & Remy
By the beginning of the story, Theron and Remy are already deceased. Sucks to be them! However, they are important to cast because they are original creations of Lilith. She only created five and these two were part of that original group.
Theron was found as a child in Greece around 360 BC and was chosen for her impeccable senses. She can see a fly twenty miles away and hear prey almost as far. She relied mostly on her sense of smell, which was ten times that of a typical vampire. I wanted her to be someone who anyone would want to seduce, including Lilith herself. I chose Megan Fox, because DAMN, the girl is not too bright, but she sure is pretty to look at! LoL
Remy was a French sailor who was chosen for his ability to heal the living. That is the extend of Wendell's explanation about this Strigoi, but I'll go into a little further. Remy was able to coax a soul back into it's host rather efficently. For example, if a human were to loose a limb during the course of a battle, Remy would place his hands over the wound and it would be as if it never happened.
I chose Channing Tatum for Remy because he is just so beautiful to look at.
Vida
Vida is Wendell's constant but does not make an actual appearance in the story. She was found in South Africa around 1000 BC. She is able to look into the eyes of someone and see their entire life, every moment up until the present. Vida is not able to see shape shifters or werewolves, and that becomes a problem once Jake enters the picture. I chose Zoe Saldana because I just loved her in damn near everything she's been in. When I get around to writing the actual history of the Fraternity, she will have a HUGE role to play!
