While I knew I didn't want Jake to the be the 'other love interest,' I ultimately knew that there would be. There has to be a better option, a wiser one.

Enter Mr. Dean, stage right.

A wealthy, British investor, eager and anxious to acquire Bella's goods . . . so to speak.

He once invested in Cullen Inc, prior to the change in CEO. He made excuses to get out of the contract, and in turn, signed on with Dyco Tech.

I needed a basis for this guy, this incredibly attractive wild card. I could only come to one conclusion.

Kimi Raikkonen, a Finnish formula one driver.

Hmmm.. So Sexy.

Anyway, so Mr. Dean is instrumental in pushing Bella to the lime light, making her company the number one thing everyone in the media is talking about. He becomes the very essence of Bella's wild side.

He doesn't carefully peel down her barrier the way Edward does. Mr. Dean simply breaks through it.

What we're dealing with here is a guy who is rich, and absolutely bat shit. He jumps out of planes in his spare time.

With Dean, we see Bella lose every social barrier she ever had.
