Rosalie Hale

Rose is the perfect daughter of wealthy doctors. She thought life was going to be great as an only child, until her parents adopted Alice and Jasper.

She immediately hated them, resented the attention her parents gave them, and begged for them to be sent back. This lasted until middle school, when Alice and Bella stood up for Rosalie. Since that day, Rose has become a vital part of the groups dynamic.

She rivals Bella in success and intelligence, often resembling the most sensible parts of Bella's own conscious. More than that, Rose is instantly critical of this affair with the competition. She worries that Bella will fall in love with Edward and bring about her own destruction.

Rose believes Love does evil things to people, similar to that of a cocaine addiction. It is scientifically true that your brain reacts the same way.

However critical she may be, Bella believes this is only because Rose has never found anyone "deserving" of her love. Rose looks down on people from her throne of self preservation, never really taking the time to get to know anyone because she claims most people are boring. Deep down, Bella knows this is because Rose is afraid of getting hurt.
